My Husband met Jerome when they were both in hospital and right from the start they hit it off !! I myself met him while visiting my husband he was such a kind spoken man and we shared many good laughs ! He made my husband stay while Iin hospital go smoothly ! Too Soon He Hath Depart
Always there to lend a hand,<br>With skills honed over many years.<br>Quick was he to problem solve,<br>A comfort laid to one’s fears.
So keenly in tune with nature,<br>Respectful of the common thread.<br>A caring hand did sow and reap,<br>Crafting many a garden bed.
Proud was he of the place he loved,<br>Though work required him to roam.<br>He always longed to return,<br>To his beloved Cape Shore Home.
The music of his cherished land,<br>Added to his step a lively spring.<br>Clearly shining in his voice,<br>As he shared with us to sing.

Miss Nora and Jerome’s Family. Sincere condolences on your tragic loss.
I have very fond memories of meeting and chatting with Jerome during my 3-4 years living on Coffeys Mountain. In fact he was the first to extend warm greetings and help when I moved there.
On my first ATV drive ever, he rescued me from a breakdown in the middle of Cuslett Beach. And offered to do same in future.
He came home for a visit and brought me to meet his sweet mom. And I went to hear him sing, He filled in several links to my Leonard / Brennan roots. I always enjoyed meeting him and will remember his kindness forever.

Aunt Nora and family,
So very saddened to hear of Jerome’s sudden passing. Jerome was always a kind hearted,funny individual who brightened our trips to the Cape Shore. He always made the time to come see us for a catch up and a giggle whenever we were on the beautiful shore. We are so very happy we got to see him over the Christmas season to enjoy a good old laugh and game of darts. Jerome 's presence will be greatly missed as he was a man that lived such a full and well balanced life.
He could be seen anywhere from his church to the festival in Ferryland, Garden parties, Star Hall on St. Patrick's Day and all places in-between.
His singing was a joy to one's ears .I'd seen Jerome just recently at a dance New Year's night he came over to our table, we talked about so much and laughed about more, when he was leaving Andy and him had a hand shake and we hugged and wished each other Happy New Year ,I'm happy for such a great interaction , cause you just don't know when it is the last hand shake.
He will leave such a legacy of kindness and reaching out to everyone.
May you gentle soul rest in complete peace Jerome.

We remember the incredible life of Jerome and share in your grief as we too say goodbye to an amazing person. We are all so grateful to have known Jerome and his love, laughter, and legacy will never be forgotten. May the happy memories of Jerome bring a smile to your face and comfort to your heart during this difficult time. Jerome was an extraordinary person who touched the lives of everyone in our family and his memory will live on in our hearts. As our children grew up here in Cuslett, the place Jerome called home, he left memories for us that will never be forgotten such as the year, he played Santa to our kids (Kyle,Jonathan,Kristen). I’ll never forget how happy he was that year he came to our house all dressed up as Santa bringing the children bags of Christmas treats, or how he gave so willingly to them looking for sponsors when they were in school, or how happy he would be at events in “the building”. He often said “we’re here for a good time not a long time”. Truer words never said. Jerome was and will always be, a happy memory for all our family. In this darkest of times, may the love and support of those around you bring you some comfort as Jerome will always be with us in spirit. Rest in peace dear soul.

To Nora and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Jerome was a good soul. He was a person who (in spite of, and maybe because of) his own challenges, was kind to so many people. He was a frequent and much appreciated visitor to my parents over the years; in Labrador City; in Patrick’s Cove, after they retired there; and in Placentia, when Mom was in Lion’s Manor. I am sure that there are many people who will now miss his “check in” visits and his help with so many things; designated driver being just one.
Jerome was the only person I knew who was a leap year baby.
He always reminded me of Uncle Johnny; in his quiet, lovely way.
I will be thinking of you in these coming days. I hope you can take comfort in his being at peace now.
