First off all I like to give my Condolences to the family and also I am very sorry that I have not post anything sooner about Mrs. Norman.
I have known Mrs. Norman all my life by living in Ship Harbour but I really got to know her when myself and I live at my sister Joan and brother in law Eugene for 6 months in Ship Harbour.
Nathan and I used go to her house every evening she was so welcoming and Nathan used call her Nanny Norman. Mrs. Norman also was my mother classmate in school and her and Mr. Norman writing the government for my mother and father to adoption me when I was a baby.
Rest in Peace Mrs. Norman

To all the Norman and Griffiths families. I am sending my sincere condolences to all of you for the passing of Mary Norman (Griffiths) on Saturday at the age of 97 years old. It is 50 years this month since I met Clara Griffiths. Over the years I attended celebrations in Ship Harbor and I met amazing people. Aunt Mary and Uncle Willie and all their children were very special to me and my two children, Travis and Laurie. I will never forget such wonderful families who treated me and my children like their own. Take care all of you. Hugs Patricia Pike.

Q: What will you never forget about Mary?
A: Our deepest condolences to the Norman & extended families. There are not enough words to describe this beautiful soul. Every time, we met, she treated me like one of her own and I will always cherish her love, her smile, kindness and her kisses & hugs. I always told her I needed a second Mom who was much like mine. She always chuckled at that. I too will carry her legacy of love in her honor. I loved her dearly. Rest peacefully, my angel. You were an angel on earth and now a heavenly angel, Love to all her family.

All my Norman cousins from Ship Harbour, we are sorry for the loss of your dear Mother. As a child, I have very fond memories of visits to Aunt Mary's. It was always a joy to see Aunt Mary, Uncle Willy and all you guys. I feel as close to you all now as I did then. We know for sure, Aunt Mary has gone straight to heaven because she was so patient with everything and everyone. One of my biggest memories of Aunt Mary will always be her kindness and no matter how many people were there......there was always room for more. I have many beautiful memories of Aunt Mary when she stayed with Mom and Dad for a while. There were lots of chats and laughs. Rest easy my beautiful Aunt. You will be forever in my heart. Love you all my my dear cousins. God bless you all.
