Obituary of Mary Theresa Norman
Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
With profound anguish we announce the passing of the heart and soul of the Norman family. Mary Theresa Norman (nee Griffiths) of Ship Harbour, Placentia Bay, in her ninety-eighth year, slipped gently away, in the warmth and comfort of her own home, while in the presence of her doting family, early on January 25th, 2025.
Predeceased by, and now in reunion with, her husband of 48 years, our Dad, William (Willie) Norman, her precious granddaughter Meghynn, her gem of a son Randy, son-in-law Ron, daughter-in-law Diane, her sisters Julia and Helen, her brothers Bert, David, Patrick, and Thomas.
She leaves behind here to mourn and do our best to carry on her legacy of kindness and goodwill that she strived to instill in us all, her devoted children, Patti (Leo), Helen, Bill (Lori), Reg (Bridie), Frank, Dottie (Lloyd), her namesake, Mary (Mame), Patrick (Leigh), Anna (Raymond), Tom (Lisa), yet another Tom (Dawn); daughter-in-law, Deva, grandchildren Adam, Nicholas, Katie, William, Mandi, Ashley, Lindsey, Tate, Joshua, Allison, Travis, Brady, Heaven-Leigh, Maggie, Felicia, Chad, Liam, Delaney, Nicole, Kara, Thomas, Marissa; 24 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jim and sisters-in-law, Sarah and Mary, an enormous circle of loving nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Our Mom was born, raised, and lived most of her long, healthy life in Ship Harbour. Along her journey, she raised us in the same fashion that she was raised, imparting in us the same values, morals and spirit that were always the essence of herself. It wasn’t always an easy task, but she handled it with dignity, poise, grace and compassion. For that we are eternally grateful. Her physical presence may be no more, but her memories will be true and sure. We love you Mother.
Special thank you to the public health nurses of Eastern Health who treated our Mother with immense respect and compassion, especially to Kelly Culleton, who always put a smile on her face.

Hold me in your thoughts
Take me to your dreams
Touch me as I fall into view
When the winter comes
Keep the fires lit
And I will be right next to you. ___Warren Zevon
