Sincere condolences to Hughie, Amy, Lisa, young Hughie , her grandchildren, all brothers and sisters, her mother and all extended family on the passing of your loved one.
I remember Dolores with a twinkle in her eye as she talked about her grandchildren.
She loved her garden ,I remember one day she was showing me around her garden she said now that tree there Hughie brought that home and set it , it's the best, but that one over there I can't do anything with but she had that mighty laugh telling it and we had a great laugh anyway.
Dolores had strong faith it was just this last Fall she did her reading in church a true sign of her courage and determination.
Recently during a hospital visit her and Andy had a great chat , at one point I said to Amy wish Andy would stop he is wearing your mother out but all hands laughed and said no that's better then any medicine and it was indeed a good discussion to say the least.
Dolores will be missed from the community indeed.
May her gentle soul rest in peace .

Sending my deepest condolences to the O'Keefe and Careen family. I am so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege to get to know Dolores when I worked at the Rural Development Building in St. Bride's many years ago. At that time, she was doing the mail delivery from St. Bride's to Point Lance. She would drop by everyday while waiting for the mail to come out from Placentia. Bernadette her sister also worked with me. To add to the mix Marion and Reggie would also drop in from time to time. Well, when the four of them got together.....look out. There were some interesting debates and endless laughs. I bet you could hear them on Cape St. Mary's. It was a wonderful experience and I so looked forward to all their visits.
Dolores will be missed dearly by her family, friends and community. May her gentle and loving soul, rest in Peace
