October 25, 1929 - June 10, 2018...Passed away as peacefully as he lived  at the Placentia Health Care Centre on Sunday, June 10, 2018 Gerald  S. Dunphy age 88 years of Freshwater.  Predeceased by his father Peter, mother Martha, brothers: Peter, Andrew & William, nephews Richard and Gerard Coombs and niece Rosemary Coombs.  He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his sister Theresa Coombs (husband Thomas, deceased), his nephews Francis (Jeanette) their children: Andrew and Jennifer (Darren Mulrooney, and Lacey & Logan), Peter, Kenneth (Jocelyn), Thomas (Gladys)(his son Thomas) & Derek, nieces: Patricia Ennis (Lar,son Patrick) and AnnMarie Barry (Tom and their children Shannon & Laura), nephews (his brother Williams sons): Billy, Jerry & Danny, also a number of other relatives and friends.  Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Monday from 6:00 - 9:00 and Tuesday from 2:00 - 9:00 and Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday June 13, 2018 at Holy Rosary Church, Freshwater at 10:30 a.m., with interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery at Freshwater.
