Obituary of William Pendergast
PENDERGAST William J. Age 82 years. Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving Wife and Family at Lions Manor Nursing Home Placentia on December 29, 2018. Predeceased by Parents Pierce and Julia Pendergast, First wife Marie (Kelly), and Son Glen, Sister Bernice, and Brother Mike. Left to mourn his loving Wife Theresa, Son Bill(Carrie), Daughter Arlene(Morgan), Grandsons Glen(Jenna), Greg(Brittany)and Billy. Great Grandson Viktor, Brother Jim(Mae) and Sister Linda(Neil), many nieces and nephews and members of the Whelan and Kelly Families.
The Family would like to express their sincere thanks to all the staff at The Lions Manor Nursing Home for the exceptional and loving care they showed Dad during his stay.
Dad spend many years as an owner operator of Pendergast's Taxi, Pendergast's Restaurant, and over 35 years as The Cape Shore Mailman were he delivered everything but a baby. Even after Dad retired, he still loved to take Sunday drives out the Shore. He was known for smile and pleasant ways and will be fondly missed and loved by many. Rest easy Mr. Will.
Resting at Coombs Funeral Home on Monday, December 31 from 7:00 - 9:00, Tuesday, January 1 from 1:00 - 9:00 . Funeral Mass to take place at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia on Wednesday, January 2 at 10:30 a.m., with interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast.
