.O'Keefe, Ruby - Passed away peacefully at the Placentia Health Centre on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, Ruby O'Keefe (nee Lynch), age 84 years, of Southeast, Placentia (formerly of Harbour Grace).
If you knew Mom, you knew her faith was strong and unwavering. Her prayer beads were in hand or close by.
Welcoming Mom in Heaven, her husband, Charl; son, Chris; mother and father, Beatrice and Frank Lynch; and stepmother, Winnie; sisters, Bernice, Marie, Elva; and special granddaughter, Charlotte.
Mom will forever be remembered and loved by her crew; Dan (Sheryl), Charlie, Carol Anne (Eric), Beatrice (Cyril), John, Steve, Frank (Rae Lynn), and Judy.
Mom will be lovingly remembered by her brothers, Frank (Robin) and Kevin (Jane) as well as her cherished grandchildren (Kurt, Pamela, Charlie, Neil, Eric, Jake, Ben, Jordan, Ethan, Maria) and great grandchildren (Rylea, Makayla, Tommy, Hunter, Nathaniel). Many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends including members of the Lynch and O’Keefe families. And special friends Florence, Molly, Jade, Abdullah, Frank and Cathy; Mom cherished your friendship.
Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 & 7:00 - 9:00. Funeral Mass to be held at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 10:30 a.m., Interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery in Southeast. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Sacred Heart Parish Placentia, or a charity of your choice. A heartfelt thank you from the family to the Placentia Health Centre Nurses, Doctors, and all staff for all your care, compassion, and thoughtfulness over the years and during Mom's recent stay. Simply, you are all incredible. There are angels among us, and they’re working there.
We will miss Mom more than words can say. Her strength was remarkable and her mind was sound. From this we draw our own strength and that sustains us.
