Obituary of William Roche

Passed away peacefully in the arms of his adoring family, Bill Roche of Branch, age 74 years.

Welcoming Bill into Heaven are his daughter Kimberly Ann, wife Ann,  parents Mabel and Jimmy, brothers Thomas and Peter, and sisters Anna and Madonna.

Left to celebrate Bill's life are his loving wife Geraldine. His children Jimmy (Cathie) and Tammy who loved him unconditionally. Step-children Traci (Paul) and Jean Marc (Donna). His grandchildren Megan, Will and Brody, whom he adored. Step-grandchildren Andrew, Shelby, Rianna, Kieran, Kennedy and Jackson. Sisters Mona, Clara (Rick) and Rosella. Special nephews Jimmy, Harvey and Eric and special niece Anne. Bill was also blessed with a large circle of extended family and friends whom he cherished and who will miss him dearly.

Bill's family would like to extend their gratitude to all of the doctors at the H. Bliss Cancer Center and the L.A. Miller Center in St. John's as well as to the many nurses who cared for him and his family on this journey. You are true angels on earth! A heartfelt thank you is also extended to Father Francis Roche for his kindness and spiritual guidance over the last 3 months. And much thanks to Father Leo English for his constant prayers.  Also thank you to Vivian Careen for her compassion and care for Bill over the last couple of years.

For anyone who knew Bill they knew how much he loved his hometown of Branch. Bill's favourite pastime in the summer was trouting in The Gut in Branch from daylight to sunset. Bill's soul will forever be on his rock in The Gut. Bill also worked with pride in Wabush Mines for 40 plus years and has a huge circle of Wabush Mines family who will miss him.

Resting at Holy Rosary Church in Branch, Wednesday August 7th after 3:00 P.M. Funeral Mass to take place on Friday August 9th at 2pm.
