It’s with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rosemarie Barry (nee Hann),formerly of Port Royal, she left this world peacefully on October 27, 2019 at the age of 75 years at Placentia Hospital.
She will be dearly missed by her community. Rosemarie was born in Port Royal, Placentia Bay on November 1, 1943.
Leaving to mourn her devoted husband, James of 55 years. Predeceased by her parents Leo and Annie Hann, mother and father in law, William and Annie Barry, brother in laws, Jack and Gerald Barry,sisters in law Clarice Molloy and Mary Leonard as well as dear friend Phonsie Barry. They lived their life in Dunville and raised a family of six children. Anselm, James (Kelly), Leeann (Peter Wadman), Jason, Jaret (Laura), Jeremy (Jennifer). With fond and loving memories she leaves behind her greatest treasures, her grandchildren, Hollee, Amanda, Kaitlyn, Cate, Luke, James, Aksel, Malena and Jasper. Forever remaining in their hearts, her brother, Anslem (Doreen), Phonse (Angie), Jerome, and sisters, Mae (Bob), Gertie, Vera (Kevin) and Anna Marie. Brother in laws, Bill, Edward (Winnie), and sister in laws Margureite (Mike) , Frances (Larry), Mary, Florence,Molly, her cousin and dearest friend. She leaves to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.
Anyone who knew her, knew her love of family, friends and music. Her talents were shared in many areas of the community to include Hospital Auxiillary, St. Anne’s Sodality, the local Church Choir and her guitar group. One of her fondest known passions, which brought her great joy, was going back to her roots of Port Royal. She was instrumental in keeping the spirit of Port Royal community alive through participating and coordinating the 93 Port Royal Reunion Committee. It became an annual summer event which attracted those from near and far. In most recent years her greatest pleasure was sharing this experience with her beloved grandchildren through song and stories.

Visitation will take place at Coombs Funeral Home,Placentia on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00 - 9:00.
Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia
