Agnes Conway (nee Careen), a pillar of our community, peacefully passed away at the age of 73 at Placentia Health Center on December 10th, 2023.
Predeceased by her husband, Harold Roche; parents Joe and Katie Careen; siblings Patrick, Joseph, Ann, Jimmy, Richard, Johnny, Bartolomeu, Carmel, and Catherine. Agnes leaves to mourn her loving children Anne Marie, Patrick, Jane, Malcolm (Jenista); grandchildren Jayden, Jake, Jackson, Mackenzie, Kaci, Jack; brothers and sisters Gertrude, Margaret, Nellie, Selina, Andy (Agnes), Peter, Phil (Yvonne), Harold (Sara) and many nieces and nephews who she loved so dearly.
Known for her unwavering dedication to making a difference, Agnes devoted her life to volunteer work, particularly in the realms of community services (especially Bingo) and charity for the church. With a heart full of compassion and a spirit of selflessness, Agnes touched the lives of many through her acts of kindness. Her modesty and bold personality left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her. However, her most significant achievement, and the source of her greatest joy, was being a devoted mother to her four beloved children.
Agnes will be remembered for her boundless love, generosity, and the positive impact she made on the lives of others. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion that will continue to inspire us all.
She will be resting at Sacred Heart Church in St. Bride’s on Tuesday December 12th, 2023 after 4 pm. Funeral mass will take place at Sacred Heart Church in St. Bride’s on Thursday, December 14th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.,
Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Point Lance.
