Ambrose, Carl, Glenn, Beulah, Roslyn & families - sending sincere condolences to you all. I'm sure over the past few days and weeks you've seen the true impact that your mom had on everyone. She was such a person that everyone enjoyed being around, loved to visit and listen to - weather that be talking about today's events, years long gone or playing the accordion. She will be truly missed, as I'm sure you know. Thinking of you all and hoping you find the strength in all the memories over the years to help you get through the harder days. Love to you all.

There are simply no words to express how very much Nellie has meant to us over the years. She has been there in our lives from our dating days, marriage and when our children were born. There was never a trip to Patrick’s Cove to Elsie & Dominic’s that Nellie didn’t come up the lane to see Victoria & Zachary, and I mean from their very 1st trip to Patrick’s Cove right up to the Christmas before Elsie passed away. Even after Elsie’s passing, our visits to her grave were always a little easier because they would immediately be followed by a visit with Nellie & Ambrose.
While our hearts are broken and Nellie will be missed very much, we take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with Elsie who she has dearly missed. We will carry Nellie’s love and strength with us always. This is not goodbye it’s only, as Nellie always said -
‘See you next time’. xoxo

Nan, I'm going to miss you with all my heart. Thanks for taking in a townie and cooking up the dirty big jigs dinners. Thanks for picking me up a Mary Browns snack pack whenever you would cook up those cods heads. It makes me very sad that you're not going to be around except in our thoughts. Hopefully, we'll all get into heaven so we can see you again. There's not a better person. Johnny

Ambrose, Carl, glenn , Rosalyn , Beulah , our hearts are heavy since God called Nellie home . Heaven has gained a beautiful Angel . You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time , so sorry for your loss of a beautiful woman . Our -sister-in-law Nellie was a beautiful lady and will be dearly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her . We have many beautiful memories of our visits home, to your family home . Her smile would light up a room and she loved to tell stories, as she sat in her Mother's rocking chair . She also was an amazing cook and she always had lots to share with others. She loved to pick berries like myself and she shared the secret bakeapple marsh with us . I know every time I pick bakeapples will certainly think of Nellie & her friend Elsie . Last summer when we gave Nellie some bake apples on her birthday she was so delighted she said "they are worth a million dollars" . The smile on her face was worth a million to us. We have some beautiful memories we will always cherish .
Nellie raised a beautiful family and was always proud of their accomplishments in life . She was a wonderful wife to Ambrose of 58 years . Deepest condolences to all our family . May your cherished memories always keep her close to your hearts . Gone but will never be forgotten . May she rest high on the mountain top , peacefully . Sending lots of love and prayers to all our family . Sorry we can't be home at this sad time . Love Joseph & Jackie & family

Uncle Ambrose, Carl, Glen, Beulah and Rosalind;
It’s been a long long time since I had the pleasure to be in the company of Nellie and to this day I can remember her quiet, comforting demeanour. She could make you feel so at ease and so comfortable with that smile and laugh.
It was such a sad moment when mom called with the news and I just wanted to take a moment to offer my condolences to you all. I know how difficult it is and I wish you all some sense of peace over the next while. If there can be some solace, it’s knowing what a remarkable, dedicated lady she was to her family and all those that knew her.
I am hopeful you will find time to smile and celebrate her wonderful life that brought so much to so many; she will be missed but the life she lived and lives she touched will be memories for a lifetime.
Wayne Lundrigan.

I remember Nellie as a gracious lady with a ready smile .She always attended to her community whether it was working at a garden party wearing her lovely apron to always up for a chat with her after Mass which she never missed.
Nellie always enjoyed a walk around the snug Cove , however her and Ambrose broadened their horizons yearly and drove to Ontario to see their family and then continued to drive down through the States to see Annie sometimes gone for months.

My deepest condolences to you all on the loss of a lovely lady like your mom and wife. I have many fond memories of Nellie from my childhood days spent at Nanny and Poppys. Uncle Ambrose, Rosalind, Beulah, Glenn, and Carl…..I’m not really sure where to start or what to say except Nellie was by far the most kind, genuine, beautiful person ever!
Where did I go whenever I went out out to the Shore, Nellie & Ambrose’s, it was a must as I’ve done for years since moving away, it was the highlight of each trip out home, Uncle A would have your mom on the bar and she did every time with the ice bucket, tongs, coke, and lambs and that will be sincerely missed!! Her story telling and conversations were top notch and I gotta say, I will miss it all.
Your mom never ever had a negative word about anyone and that in itself tells the type of person she was and will remain, just in a different setting.
She is however now at peace and you will continue on with her ever lasting love and be reminded of her daily as she will send u little signs.
Be strong, stay positive and know she is still around, looking after everyone, yet will be sitting with daddy very soon Im sure talking about the crazy world we are still in. Love to you all
