Sincere condolences to all the family on the passing of your dear one Joan .
I remember Joan working throughout the Hospital , and certainty pulled her weight when it came to work.
Only recently had a great chat with her about travelling and how much she enjoyed it , she loved to live life to the fullest and she loved her family dearly.
Rest softly Joan.

Joanne,Paul,Brian,Johnny Anne,Harold and all your families, I am sadden and join you, from away, greiving your loss of Joan.Joan was Matriarch of family,a heart wide open for everyone she knew or would meet and the glue that got us all through our years. I treasure looking over photos of those years and our time here at Brians.I hold in my heart her kindness and hugs ,words of wisdom as she got Marg and myself and Donna through our crazy teens, then our wedding days. She was a pillar example of how to stand loving strong through the tough times but also to enjoy all the moments that life gives us.
Have peace knowing how much she loved you all and how proud of all you she was.The love and arms in heaven, waiting for her, have guided her to her rest.
Joan I loved you,I will keep you in my heart with Margie.I have been lost without her and have not been home since.Save me a plate at the Banquet table. To you all, I pray for your peace and healing and that you can find it.Keep Psalm 147.5 "He heals the broken hearts and binds up their wounds" In "His" strenghth it will come just lean on him.
I miss you all. You are always in my thoughts and prayers. Until we meet again...

Great aunt joan I dont remeber meeting you as a child but I remember spending time with you when you came up a few summers and meeting Bryan and his family. I admired your cook book you had and a few days later Bryan dropped off a copy of it from you, I still use the book. A little later I announced my pregnacy and ypu crocet my little girl what still is her favorite blanket. Both girls love their blankets. Such loving care you put into crochetting.

Joan was truly a beautiful family neighbour who was so kind hearted to my brothers, sisters & I as we were growing up, while raising her own family, she always included us. My fondest memories of Joan was how good she was to all of us, taking us swimming to the weedy hole, wiener roasts, fishing & always so giving of her time. She truly made special memories for all of us growing up in the cove!
Joan you will be missed you truly were our angel growing up!

Joanne, Paul, Johnny, and Brian I am sorry to hear of your mom's passing. It was a pleasure to work with Joan, not once, but, twice in this lifetime. She truly was a special lady with a heart of gold. As her homecare worker we had many laughs, and she taught me many things. I will treasure her memories and the beautiful knitted blanket she made me for Christmas. I watched her knit alot of blankets with so much joy and love and gave them to others. She was a very giving lady. She loved you all so much. Rest in peace beautiful angel with the beautiful smile.

Aunt Joan, I will always remember the times you and uncle John would come over to Davis Cove and stay with mom and Alf. You all had great times together. The dance’s we would attend and the fun we use to have. I was one of the family members who had the privilege of getting one of your blankets. I will treasure it always. Aunt Joan was a huge part of our family. We rotated Sunday dinners at hers, ours, Loretta's and Maxine's for years. She was a great hostess on Christmas eves, birthdays, screech-ins and any other occasion (or any day). I think we all took our driving tests in her car. Had many a chat at her dining room table and ours. Lots of laughs over the years. Many good times and a few bad, too. She will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered. Rest in peace, Aunt Joan. With love from Lynn (great niece), Manj, Ethan and Imogen.
