Anita Murray September 6, 1949 – October12, 2024 Passed away suddenly at Placentia Health Centre, Anita Murray of Ship Harbour, at the age of 75. Predeceased by her parents Stanley & Eileen Griffiths, sister Rita, baby sister Stella, and her father and mother in-law James and Rebecca Murray. Leaving to mourn with broken hearts, her loving husband of 57 years, Alphonsus Murray, son Jeffrey, daughter in-law Nicole, granddaughter Mya, and grandson Chase. Her brothers, Len (Peg), Stan (Tish), Ralph (Bev), and Con. Her sisters, Ethel (Gerald, deceased), Ann (Keith), Till (Dan), Carmel (Steve), Evelyn (Terry) and Elsie. Her brothers in-law, John (Martha, deceased), Paddy (Isabel), Matt (Paulette, deceased), Peter (Donna), Jim (Tina), Rhodey (Terri), Tobe (Lauranne), Dave (Carolanne), Raymond (Denise, deceased) and her sisters in-law, Theresa (Ben, deceased) and Becky. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special thank you to the staff at the Placentia Health Centre for their compassion and care. Nita was a person who doted on her family. She enjoyed family get-togethers and had a passion for gardening – which is obvious by her beautiful trees and shrubs. She was a religious person who never missed the opportunity to attend church. She loved to dress up, have her nails and hair done just so, and adored anything in the color red. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Coombs’ Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation to take place on Monday October 14th from 1 pm to 9 pm. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, October 15th at 2 pm in the chapel. Inurnment to follow at a later date. “If I had a flower for every time I thought of you, I could walk in my own garden forever.”
