It is with much sadness that I write this message. I am so comforted to read the messages posted by those who knew my grandmother and who said such kind words about her. To all my aunts and uncles and especially to my mother, Vera, I want you all to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and I wish so much I could have been with you all during this sad time. I love you all. It has been more than a year since I saw Nan and she was so full of questions about my life and what I was doing. I remember her telling me how lucky I was and what a great life I was building for myself. Her words meant a lot to me. Nan, I will never forget you. You left me lovely memories, That make me laugh and cry, Times we shared together, No money could ever buy, A thoughtful person, a special lady, A wonderful grandmother to the end. Nan, Flowers will die, the sun will set, But you're a Nan I will never forget, Your name is so precious, It will never grow old, It's engraved in my heart with letters of gold.
