My deepest sympathies go out to Chelsea and the Murphy family. Angela was a great friend both inside and outside of work and it was my privilege to be able to work with and know such a caring, helpful, funny, beautiful, down-to-earth person. I will miss her dearly. I remember the almost daily visits to her desk to talk to her about anything and whether it be about work, the weekend, or the weather, I was guaranteed to walk out of her office with a big smile and sore cheeks from laughing so hard. Angela could always be counted on to get the job done but was always available to lend an ear. Outside of the office, she was a riot but one thing never changed... her daughter Chelsea was the love of her life. She talked about Chelsea everyday and beamed with joy when she mentioned Chelsea's name. Seeing her pictures and knowing she is gone from this world still brings to tears to my eyes but I will keep my memories of her in my heart forever and she will never be forgotten. Angela, I love you and may you rest in peace until we see each other again.

Chelsey and the Murphy Family, my simple words could never bring you comfort or relief from this tragic loss. I had the privilege to work with Angela this past year at Woohall Park. As the Activity person for her unit I was able to see her daily. Angela was the kind of nurse you would want at your bedside, the kind of co-worker you wanted on your team, the finest example of how much a mother can love her child and she was a damn funny Newfie! When it came to her residents she stood up, fought and brought them the care, love, respect and dignity any human being deserved. Being the 'new kid' on the unit, she came to me with suggestions of how to reach specific residents, with info as to who would benefit from a program she'd seen me run earlier and advice on how not to take somethings so personally. Lots of times I heard Angela speak out and it was never to make her job easier, it was ALWAYS to make the lives of her residents better in someway. I remember her laugh and how her whole face lit up. I loved to hear her talk 'newfie' especially when the Nissan car commercial first came out. I'd ask her to repeat part of it to me daily. Angela was my cheerleader in the Big Bike for Heart & Stroke campaign. She geared us up, hooped and hollered and encourage me on my first ever bike adventure. I still remember the photo with her, hands up in the air cheering. Angela loved Tim Horton's and cold Pepsi from the vending machine. She loved her residents, and cried from them when they passed. And as all those who knew her know she loved her girl Chelsey. I miss you Ange, I miss you trying to write on my rec boards, sneaking samples from my cooking program, and especially during Christmas when you would make the unit Merry!!! May God keep you safe now, and send to your loved ones strength to face the days ahead. Here's hoping God's chef know how to cook a proper Jigs dinner with peas pudding and parchaberry pie.

My deepest sympathy to Angela's family and friends. I am still having a really hard time accepting her passing and can only imagine how difficult it is for you, her family. I know that there are no words that will make this loss easier for any of us. I met Angela when she started with Lafarge and she quickly became my dear friend in and out of the office. Angela, you were always there for us when we needed to be straightened out, cheered up, or supported. When we went out, if anyone was bothering us, you were the first in line to look out for us!! The nurse in you took such good care of us and kept us out of trouble. You were always there for me and I am so sorry that the past year, when you needed me most, I was not there for you. I know you were going through a rough time, but you were such a tough girl, I took for granted that you would always be there. Your amazing and beautiful smile and laughter will always be with me. Angela, I love and miss you so much. You will always and forever be in my heart and in my memories. Bye for now,

In our end is our beginning; in our time, infinity; In our doubt there is believing; in our life, eternity, In our death, a resurrection; at the last, a victory, Unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see. Theres a song in every silence, seeking word and melody; Theres a dawn in every darkness, bringing hope to you and me. My very deepest condolences to Angela's family. Words cannot begin to convey my sadness. Angela was an outstanding person. From the moment my grandmother, Alzira DaSilva, became a resident at Specialty Care-Woodhall Park, Angela was the one person who made a very lasting impression in our hearts. She treated her with a kindness, compassion, and caring that went far beyond the call of duty. My grandmother eagerly awaited the days that Angela was working. At the end of Angela's shift, she would always ask her if she was working the next day by saying (in very accented English, for she spoke only Portuguese), "Tomorrow, tomorrow?". It happened so often, it became a running joke between the two ladies. In a place that can be cold and institutional, my grandmother felt loved, thanks to Angela. May memories bring some comfort at this most difficult time, and may it comfort you to know that she will be fondly remembered.

Mr and Mrs Murphy, Chelsea family. Words cannot express the sadness I feel over the passing of my dear friend Angela. I spent Friday (Dec 22) afternoon with Angela we talked, we cried, we shared. Her dad called her during our visit and when she finished she told me how wonderful it was that her entire family told her that they loved her at the end of every conversation. Angela was going through some tough times but she new her family and friends loved and cared for her. Angela constantly talked about her daughter Chelsea, she beamed every time she mentioned her name. Chelsea your mom loved you and would have done anything for you, she was proud of you and wanted only the best for you. I know it is really difficult to think of your future right now but please excel and become the successful beautiful women your mother wanted you to be. Angela touched everyone she ever met in her own special way. She was a kind, loving and compassionate nurse whom we shall all miss forever. I love you Angela and please know that I will never forget you and will never stop thinking of you. Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help or sought thy intersession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of Virgins, my mother, to thee I come; before thee I stand sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy clemency hear and answer me. Amen

Words cannot be enough to express how sad this news is to all of us. I wish only the best to her family and friends and strength during these trying times. Although short, I worked closely with Angela on some work related projects and can only say that she was a very genuine person and I always respected the way she never beat around the bush and just told it how it was. Together as a team we received honors from our company which was solely due to her persistence and admirable work ethic. I expected great things for her as she was a very determined person. I was very proud for her when she became a nurse but was not surprised as her compassion and dedication was a perfect fit. It brings some happiness to my heart that I know, she, will now be then one cared for in the heavens. She truly was a pleasure to have known! Chelsea, I have never met you in person, but your mother would talk about you every at every opportunity. She really loved you more then anything in the world and I hope that know just how much. She will always live in your heart and be with you every step you take in spirit. You are very lucky to have such a person as a mother. Angela, you were a sparking gem, a great colleague, role model, wonderful mother, companion, I wish I could turn back time the hands of time, may you rest in peace. Here is a poem titled: A Child of Mine <Begin> I'll lend you for a little while <Next Line> A child of mine, God said <Next Line> For you to love the while she lives <Next Line> And mourn for when she's dead <Next Line> It may be six or seven years, <Next Line> Or forty-two or three <Next Line> But will you, till I call her back <Next Line> Take care of her for me? <Next Line> She'll bring her charms to gladden you <Next Line> And - should her stay be brief, <Next Line> You'll have her lovely memories <Next Line> As a solace for your grief <Next Line> I cannot promise she will stay <Next Line> For all from earth returns <Next Line> But there are lessons taught below <Next Line> I want this child to learn. <Next Line> I've looked the whole world over <Next Line> In my search for teachers true <Next Line> And from all beings that crowd life's land <Next Line> I have chosen you <Next Line> Now, will you give her all your love <Next Line> Nor think the labor vain. <Next Line> Nor hate me when I come to take <Next Line> This lent child back again <Next Line> I fancied that I heard you say <Next Line> "Dear Lord, Thy will be done. <Next Line> For all the joys Thy child will bring <Next Line> The risk of grief we'll run <Next Line> We will shelter her with tenderness <Next Line> We'll love her while we may - <Next Line> And for the happiness we have now know <Next Line> Forever grateful stay." <Next Line> But should the angels come for her <Next Line> Much sooner than we'd planned, <Next Line> We'll brave the bitter grief that comes <Next Line> And try to understand <Next Line>

She is now our ANGEL. Her laugh makes you laugh, her smile makes you smile. I miss my friend. I have the memories of photos and videos and her sweet kind words in emails to carry on with. Chelsea, you were more than the apple of your mother's eye, you were her life. I could feel the love she had for you when she talked about you and when I saw her with you. Even 12 days after, it is still just as hard to believe, that such a beautiful and wonderful person is gone so suddenly. The hardest part is, none of us got the chance to tell her just how much she really means to us, but I'm certainly sure that she knows. A wonderful friend, daughter, sister, aunt, and most of all mother. Mom, you're missed more than you'll ever know. But for every tear I shed for you, let it be a kiss from me to you. I love you so much and you mean more to me than anyone else in this world. Your high spirit, beautiful smile, and generous deeds will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace Mommy.

"She had a sense of humour, And a sparkle in her eye. A helping hand in times of need, On that you could rely. Maybe we can't touch her hand, Or see her smiling face. Maybe we can't hear her voice, Or feel her warm embrace. But something we will always have Tucked safely in our Hearts, Is that Our love for her, and her for us Will never let us part." I am devasted having returned from my East Coast vacation to learn of the loss of a dear friend, and fellow Nurse. My sweet Angela, who could make me laugh in the face of some really stressfull times. Heaven has another "Angel", but we are rich in memories of her time with us. To her Daughter and Family......thank you for sharing her with us, and may God help you through these trying times. Sincerly, Frances Daigle (Extendicare Brampton)

My best friend Angela Many words come to mind of the relationship we shared.. Trust, honesty, compassion, respect, understanding, patience and love. We always knew that the special bond we shared would get us through whatever road lay before us good or bad. We never hesitated to say I love you and we enjoyed and cherished every moment together. You came to Ontario to start a new life with Chelsea and although at times you missed your family you worked very hard and established so much to give your daughter and yourself a happy life here. I was so proud of all your accomplishments and you knew that. We often spoke about how life can change from one day to the next and we felt so blessed to have crossed paths with each other. We were family. As we watched our children grow older and grow closer we came to realize in a very short time that they were inseparable. Chelsea, Erica and Jeffery, our babies. I could write about what a wonderful friend and person you were in great lengths and I know that every persons life you touched will never forget you. Your beauty, your smile and laughter your kindness and genuine caring and your sense of humor. I am so overwhelmed with heartache that your gone and Im sorry that I never had the opportunity to see you to say good bye. I was waiting for you that day as we planned and instead of answering my phone to your sweet voice I received the devastating news you were gone. It is very difficult for me to find closure. My Chels, you know how much you mean to all of us and you know how much we love you and wish that none of this was happening. You also know what your sissy and bro went through with the loss of their dad and you were always there to help them through it, you gave them so much strength and I can never thank you enough. You are a beautiful and smart girl who will grow up to make your mom so proud of you. One thing Im certain of through this tragedy is that your moms life hasnt ended completely because she left a big part of her in you. I love you Angela and will miss you.
