Mom, Aunts Monica & Rita, Jamie, Christopher & Cousins Please accept my heartfelt sympathy on Aunt Jeannie's passing. To know that she is finally out of pain and suffering brings some solace. Aunt Jeannie has faced many adversities in life and bounced back from each and every one but this fight knocked her down where she could no longer battle. We have shared many many laughs over the years and I'm sure you guys will reminisce over the next few days of the antics she would get up to, good and bad. She was quite the character and will be missed. Rest in peace Aunt Jeannie as you are reunited with all the family members who have gone before you.

To all who loved Aunt Jeannie and to all Aunt Jeannie loved--The only consolation I can offer is this line that so fittingly describes our Aunt. "Blessed are those who endure when they are tested. When they pass the test, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him." Who do we know that has been tested more? Knowing Aunt Jeannie, she died with her Rosary in her hand.

Many great memoirs have been written by people who have emerged from humble beginnings, endured tragedy, wined and dined with fine company, found comfort in true love, relished in the presence of family and friends, laughed against all odds, and never lost sight of who they were as a person. Jeannie's stories would make a best seller. In her unique and youthful way she touched all of our lives. She was the cool, funky aunt ; the rebel. She was so much fun to be around. She could laugh like no other, but no matter where she traveled, her heart was always in Ship Cove. She found comfort in the yarns and tales of years gone by and was as easily entertained by tales of Pete as she was by the Opera. Sitting in her lavish home in New Brunswick, sipping on an early morning coffee, she overlooked her sprawling pool and found peace in watching her clothes dry on the line. Any of us who had the pleasure of visiting her can surely remember that exact pose. To that end, when life was wonderful and she was enjoying every luxury that she could dream of, from picking out a ruby in Spain to doing the Jitterbug, she trailed every sentence with the same phrase, "Andy is good to me." Although circumstance and personal demons prevailed, Jeannie weathered what life sent her way and lived with many regrets, but no self-pity; a remarkable attribute to any character. May all of us find comfort in the endless stories we once shared with Jeannie; a vibrant, fashionable, caring, loving women, who knew hardship and sacrifice yet embraced love. She will be missed.

Everyone who knew Jeannie will have lots of memories to comfort them. She was always so easy to be around. She endured many hardships, but always found something to bring a smile to those around her. She was a good person. She loved her children; they were her pride and joy. She delighted in many things, but mostly in telling her stories and jokes. May we all find comfort in the great memories we have of Jeannie, a friend to many people. May she rest in peace.

Monica,Rita and Donnie, Once again this year you have had to say good-bye to another sister. I feel so sad that I have not been there for any of those occassions.Your family was so dear to me. Jeanie and I spent lots of time at Aunt Mary's together and she got me into lots of trouble. Despite all the tragedy in her life she still had her sense of humor. She was a fine and kind lady. God bless you all . I hope I can see you either over the holidays or when I return home for the summer.

Seems to be a common salutation, however, to all of those who share my grief. It is with the heaviest of hearts that I extend the warmest of wishes as we mourn the loss of yet another link in the family chain. Aunt Jeanie, no doubt, has touched the lives of all of those who have known and been in her company and it seemed that laughter rang out when and wherever she was present. I am sure we can all attest to hearing "I might have been reared in the woods, but I never ate the boughs", others who visited her in the hospitals during her lengthy illness had the pleasure of manouvering her through the corridors in her wheelchair in high gear scrambling for the nearest exit where she could 'have a smoke', and on a particular occasion taking the wrong detour and ending up very near the morgue. (Needless to say, she had quite a laugh out of that one). The years may have separated us, but time nor distance could never erase the imbedded memories of the many good times we shared. So, until we meet again my friend...... Monica

My mother was one of a kind. She was strong minded and even stronger tempered but she also had a wonderful sense of humour. She went through this life with many demons trying to pull her down but she never gave up. She is finally able to find the peace in death that she could not find in life. No more pain or suffering just peace. I miss you mom and I will love you always and like you once told me I might be leaving but i am leaving a part of me behind. Love to all my family.

To the Cormier, Walsh and Brennan families, I am so very sorry to hear of Jeannie's passing. Jeannie and I had many a chuckle together when we were next door neighbours for several years. Mixed in with all the fun and badness, she was a kind woman with great faith. She never hid her love for her children, sisters, brothers, neices and nephews. Cherish her memory. Rest in peace, Jeannie. Linda & Curtis

My deepest condolences to family and friends of Jeannie. She has suffered a lifetime of pain and sorrow, and I am happy that she is now resting in a peaceful place where all her worries and troubles are left behind. Her faith never wavered, and all the years I have known her, I never once heard her complain. She was the life of the party wherever she went. I guess her faith in God & mankind were her greatest comfort through it all. The volunteer sector has lost one of their best. My prayers are with you all, especially Donnie, Monica & Rita and as one again, you have to carry another sister to her final resting place..God Bless you all

Aunt Jeannie was always a part of our family. As little children she stayed with us when mom was away because of TB. She was the one who moved with us into the house on the beach. I always have this picture of her standing on the front step and waving good bye when we were going to visit mom. She was wearing a yellow dress and her hair was swept up into a "bird's nest".As we got older and she returned to Placentia she was a familiar sight at our house having her cup of tea and a smoke. She was always ready for a good laugh in recalling stories about the Saturday night dance at the Star. I think she was the one who first introduced mom to the Placentia night life and they had many good times together before Aunt Jeannie's illness. I always admired Aunt Jeannie because she experienced a lot of pain for one lifetime. I was always amazed how she managed to keep going and had a strong faith despite the pain she had endured. I know she has found peace and is among many who have gone before and who loved her dearly. It was a pleasure to have known this wonderful woman.

To My Wonderful Aunt Jeanie; Peace and Love to you. And to all relatives and those that were blessed by knowing her; heart felt sympathies at this time. It is hard to imagine how one individual could endure so much in one lifetime and yet appreciate religion, people and life in general. My most treasured memories of her are her laughing fits which one could not help but join in. There have been many times when I have pondered over how she made it through all the tragedy, changes in her life and the difficult times. However her deep commitment to religion was the obvious saviour. I really do wish her eternal happiness... Sincerest Sympathies from Gailene, James and Madison
