To the family and friends of Leonard Young; may you all find comfort in the memories that you hold dearly of a man who showed us how life is so fragile and that things can change in a heartbeat. You were all much younger when Leonard's accident altered your lives forever, but you remained steadfast in your love for him. Thinking of you during this difficult time as you celebrate the life of a man who faced adversity with an unwavering determination. May he Rest in Peace.

Eleanor and family, my sincere condolences to you all on Leonard's passing. It has been so long since I have seen or talked to Leonard and I am trying to remember him before his accident. I do have a very vivid memory of him standing up in the kitchen of Aunt Alice's house and thinking to myself, "What a handsome looking man". From reading all the condolences, I have learned that he never lost his amazing spirit for life or his contagious sense of humour. If there is anything that we can take away from Leonard's life on earth, is that your life can be altered forever "in the blink of an eye". What brings me comfort for those loved ones I have lost, is that we were taught to believe that when we leave this side and enter heaven, we revert back to a time that we are in great health and age does not matter anymore. I hope that this thought helps you find the same comfort in the days/years ahead. Rest peacefully Leonard.

To Eleanor and Family: I offer my sincere condolences on Leonard's passing. I have very fond memories of Leonard and one memory really sticks out in my mind and I would like to share it with you all.I remember when myself, Carmie & the girls stayed over to your house after a dance at Manning's Club. We were all in bed and Leonard kept pacing back and forth the hallway but wouldn't come in to wake us. Anyway we all got up (very early I might add) only to find Leonard sitting at the table asking us to play a game of cards. Carmie spoke up and said "Now Leonard that is why you tried to wake us up", he would deny this with that little grin that always gave him away. I fondly remember another day up at Aunt Alice's house and I played a game with him, and of course he won again as always. I said "Leonard you are cheating," and he always gave himself away with that magic wink. Eleanor, only one word comes to mind to describe the loving wife you have been and that word my dear is, Devotion. You remained so strong and always ended your day with a smile. Your paitence is an example to all of us who at times could use some lessons in life. You are one amazing person. Leonard I know heaven was waiting for you and they probably won't let you in without that deck of card which I am sure you have in your spirtual presence. Rest well Leonard, as I am sure, the higher power was waiting to accept you. God Bless and I will continue my prayers for the family.

Young family so sorry to hear of your loss. Leonard was a delight to be around!! What a character he was. He will surely be missed at the Lion's Manor. He loved his bingo and was always the first one there. I never knew a word he was saying but when he would give you that wink and smile you knew it was something funny. I will truly miss him and so will the staff and residents. He also loved his game of cards. R.I.P. Leonard. Now the angels and god have the most funny, loving, wonderful angel with them. He will certainly make them smile.
