Cranford family, so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I work at The Lion's Manor Nursing Home as a domestic worker. I enjoyed talking to your mom, she had such a beautiful smile and what a loving person she was. She is now with her heavenly family and at peace. God bless you all.

Rest easy Nanny Cranford. I'll always remember you for: 1. booting me out into the sunshine when I played too much Nintendo 2. letting me cut out the cookie shapes in the cookie dough (and letting me eat the bits left over) 3. putting me in my place when I was being a saucy brat (which was quite often) Thank you for the many wonderful memories.

"Nanny" Cranford, we called her, as she was like a third grandmother to my brothers and I; a valuable addition to our household when I was a youngster, taking care of us, feeding us, and eventually sending us off to school. She was kind, warm, and hard working. She was also equipped with a no-nonsense attitude that served her well when she was playing referee (we gave her ample opportunity to defuse conflicts by fighting a lot). As I remember it, she was always fair and balanced in her duties of judge and jury. She was a good story-teller too, often regaling us with anecdotes of her youth to which we listened attentively while she continued on with whatever household task she was effortlessly completing. She was constantly busy while at the house, whether it be baking tea buns, kneading bread, knitting winter clothes, or even prepping skinned rabbits at our kitchen table for dinner that evening! For years she ran the daily operations of our household, and during that time, her kindness, her work ethic and her strong will made a lasting impression on us. Sincerest condolences to the family.

Aunt Jean, you were such an admirable woman, I will miss you dearly. Thank you for the many visits and sleepovers while I worked in Placentia. It was a time I treasure, a time I got to know you and Uncle Tom so much better! You always took pride in the goods you had baked, and made many warm meals for me. That's what you loved to do....take care of others. I feel so sad thinking about your final years on earth, but remind myself of the glory you must feel to finally be with Uncle Tom, Hilda and Gloria. I'm sure you are at peace now. Love and miss you, Lori, Brad, Sam & Jolene
