For Eileen, James and Darrell We had the privilege of knowing Denise through unfortunate circumstances. Little did we know that we would be the fortunate ones to know her. As her nurses we spent alot of time trying to understand this complex girl. She had a great big heart and a great big mind. I think that is why we come to understand the relationship she had with Herman. She was so private and gentle of spirit. She actually let us in to her world and allowed us to see all of her. We want you to know that this beautiful girl of yours will never be forgotten and that she did not leave this world in vain. We are all a better person for knowing her and being part of her life. We truly pray that God will comfort you in this horrible time that you are feeling. We have shed many tears over this girl and I don't think she would like it but it can't be helped. May God throw His heavenly arms around you and be with you while she is with Him. Diane and Carla Truro, Nova Scotia

We want to extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to Denise's family at this sad time. We first met Denise several years ago. She was good friends of my brother, Kevin Atkinson and his wife, Catherine of Truro and over the years, Denise became an important person in our family. We've prayed many prayers for her during her battle with cancer. She was a brave soul, and never gave up even in the midst of seemingly insurmountable circumstances. Although Denise is no longer with us, a part of her will live on in our memories. We lead a Bible study in our home and those who have gathered with us each Wednesday evening have been faithful to pray for her also. May you find your strength in God's presence during these difficult days and may His love be your comfort. Sincerely, Ivan and Deborah Graham - Sussex, NB

To Denise's family, I am truly saddened to hear for her passing. Denise had such a strong spirit and it will always be inspirational to me. Her friendship is one that I will carry with me for eternity hoping that I can only be as strong as she was. It was Denise that convinced me to go to NSAC as well, so without her friendship I do not know where I would be. I know she is happy where she is now ... again riding Master ... and I know we will meet again. She will be forever loved and forever missed.
