Obituary of Anthony Moore

Moore, Anthony , July 8, 1931 - May 31, 2014 Passed peacefully away at the Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia on Saturday May 31, 2014 Mr. Anthony Moore age 82 years of Jeresyside, Placentia, formerly of Merasheen, retired firefighter. He retired a captain after 35 years of service at the United Sates Naval Station, Argentia. Predeceased by his parents Bridget & Patrick , and his beloved granddaughter Jessica. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 55 years Lena (Careen), his eight children Tony, Irene, Theo (Debbie), Edward (Debbie), Kay (Ron Meaney), Brian, Sharon (Brian McDonald), and Ruby, seven grandchildren Roselena, Robert, Matthew, Vanessa, Lily, Madison & Isaiah, also leaving to mourn his loss his brother Patrick (Nellie), sisters Ethel & Mary, also a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Sunday June 1 , 3:00 - 5:00 & 7:00 - 9:00, Monday June 2, 2:00 - 5:00 & 7:00 - 9:00, and Tuesday beginning at 12:00. Funeral Mass to take place on Tuesday June 3 at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia at 2:00 p.m, Cremation to follow . Inurnment to take place at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Placentia.
