Passed away at the Placentia Health Care Center, on Wednesday March 31, 2010 Alphonsus Murphy age 86 years formerly of Long Harbour, P. Bay. Predeceased by parents Denis & Angela sisters Catherine, Bride (Ned), Laura (Phil) and Ida (James), brothers Lawrence (Rose), Cyril, Pius (Jean) and Denis Jr. Left to celebrate his life sisters Anne (Walter), Winnie (Bill) and Rose (Ralph), brother Adrian (Beulah) as well a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, especially the staff and residents of Gateway Residence, Dunville. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Thursday from 4-6, Friday from 11 - 1, & 6-9. Funeral Service to take place on Saturday April 3, at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast, Placentia.
