It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sharon Smith-Miller of Clarenville, formely of Southeast who left us
peacefully on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, at the age of 68.
Sharon was predeceased by her beloved parents, Janet and Clayton Cooper; her sister, Bonnie Perry; and husband, Raymond Miller.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her children, Melanie Smith, Clayton Smith, Margaret Power, and Nathan Power; her adored grandchildren, Griffin Smith, Mathilda Petersen, and Aksel Petersen; and her dear sisters, Elsie (Terry) Babstock, Gail (Walt) Oates, Marilyn (Al) Chatman, Ivy (Dennis) Strong,
Shirley (Derek) Hamlyn, Judy (Don) Lucas; and her brothers, Morgan (Trudy) Cooper, and Donald (Maryann) Cooper. Sharon’s presence will also be deeply missed by her extended family, nieces and nephews, friends, and the many people whose lives she touched.
Sharon was a trailblazer, a woman who courageously paved the way for others. She took immense pride in her work, where her creativity and dedication shone through. Sharon’s kindness was felt by all who knew her; she had a big heart and a generous spirit. She was abeloved neighbour and friend and always ready to lend a helping hehelping hand.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Fewer’s Funeral Home in Clarenville on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. with the inurnment to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sharon’s memory may be made to the Cancer Society, honouring her enduring spirit and the love she shared with all who knew her.
