When we got the phone call at 7:10am on Sunday morning from Mom (Velma) telling us Lance had passed away, our hearts sunk and the tears flowed. There was instantly a lot of thoughts that went through our heads - do we head west or head east? We decided to head west but our hearts have been east. We are truly sorry for all of you to lose a great Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. I always considered the Morgans as my family and therefore Lance was much like a second Father, very kind and welcoming any time we visited from the time I was a very small girl. I have many great memories of Lance and many stories - far too many to list here! He loved to play tricks on people - like putting coal in the kids stockings at Christmas time! While this is a difficult time, I only hope that we all have a long and fulfilling life like Lance did and from time to time overcoming many medical challenges! I admired and respected him and I will always hear his hearty laugh! I hope your happy memories will help you all in the days ahead. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Lance was an easy man to know and like. He lived his life independent and hard-working and devoted to his family, his friends and his community. He fought and won a hard battle against diabetes for over 50 years and he did so with determination and grace. The ongoing devotion of his family and friends are a testament to a life well lived

Throughout our lives we make friends. Sometimes those friendships last and sometimes they do not. Every once and awhile you make friends that last a lifetime and they become family. That is how we feel about all of you. When you celebrate, we rejoice with you and when you experience loss we suffer as well. It is not only important that we offer our condolences, it is equally important that we offer our support. If there is anything that we can do please do not hesitate to ask. On the occasions that we had the pleasure of enjoying time with Lance, we created memories that will always be cherished. He will be greatly missed and always remembered. All our love, The Silverberg Family
